Plattsburgh, May 15th, 2024 – Laurie A. Mero, Associate Vice President Systems and Service, has been a cornerstone of Northern Insuring Agency for over four decades. We celebrate her remarkable 41-year journey with her retirement from the company on May 31st , 2024. Since joining NIA on June 1 st , 1983, Laurie has exemplified professionalism, unwavering commitment, expertise, and integrity in her role.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Laurie is known for her profound dedication to her family and community. Married to her husband Billy since December 12 th , 1981, Laurie is the proud mother of two children, Dylan, and Claire.
Laurie’s commitment to community service is exceptional. She volunteers her time and expertise to various organizations, including the American Cancer Society (Relay for Life) and The Catholic Daughters of the Americas. With retirement, she will be able to dedicate more time to The North Country Honor Flight and the Foster Grandparents program through Catholic Charities. Her selfless contributions have made a significant impact on the lives of many and embody the spirit of philanthropy and compassion.
